Bambelo.com attaches great importance to your privacy. That is why we want to be open and transparent about the processing of your personal data. In this privacy statement you will therefore find information about how your personal data is processed and protected. This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services provided by Bambelo.com

If you use one of our websites to request quotes, we will pass on your details to affiliated partners who meet the criteria you specified. They will process your details in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Based on this information, these companies will contact you by email or telephone to inform you about their services and rates. A single request via Bambelo.com will therefore result in data storage at Bambelo.com itself and at the companies linked to your request. Based on laws and regulations and an agreement such as that concluded between Bambelo BV and the organizations to which Bambelo provides your request, the organizations that receive your data must also comply with the provisions of the agreement concluded with them and with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The contact details of these parties can be found in the quotes you receive from them. If a company decides not to respond to the quote request, that company will be obliged to destroy the data received.

The data we collect from you is in principle stored within the European Economic Area (“EEA”). If we transfer data to and process it in a country outside the EEA, this will be done in accordance with applicable laws, normally on the basis of standard contractual clauses and additional measures where necessary.

We process the following categories of personal data:

We store your data for a maximum period of 7 years. We do this on the one hand to comply with our statutory retention period and on the other hand to be able to observe trends and improve our services. If you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services or want the data to be deleted, we will assess whether this retention period can be shortened and which data we can delete.

The personal data you provide will be used to ensure that the services offered by Bambelo.com function properly. Bambelo.com only provides the necessary personal data to affiliated partners to provide you with a suitable offer based on your request.

We use your data primarily to request quotes for the product or service you are looking for. We also use it to evaluate, develop and improve our services, products and systems. This includes an analysis to make our services more user-friendly, such as changing the user interface to simplify the flow of information or to emphasise functions that are frequently used and to improve IT systems to increase security. For this purpose, we will not analyse your data at an individual level. We also use the data to develop new services and to improve our product range. Providing (and processing) this data is a necessary condition to enable the execution of the agreement or the execution of your request to receive quotes. If you do not provide the data, we cannot serve you, or cannot serve you properly.

Right of access: You have the right to request information about the personal data we hold about you at any time. Right to portability: When Bambelo.com processes your personal data in an automated manner based on your consent or based on an agreement, you have the right to obtain a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, transferred to you or to another party. This only concerns the personal data you have provided to us. Right to rectification: You have the right to request correction of your personal data if it is incorrect, including the right to have incomplete personal data completed. Right to be forgotten: You have the right to request us to delete the personal data processed by Bambelo.com . Right to restriction of processing and to object to processing : You can request to (temporarily) restrict the processing of data, for example to check the accuracy of the data. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. If you object to processing for direct marketing purposes, the personal data will no longer be processed for such purposes. Right to withdraw consent : To the extent that we process data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of the processing before the withdrawal. For all the above requests, you will receive a response to your request within 1 month. Depending on the complexity of the requests and the number of requests, this period may be extended by another two months if necessary, in which case we will inform you of this within one month of receipt of your request.
